i dont know Jim, i think its a reserve for a reason. they are other alternate fuel sources. Theres also a bunch of oil wells in the gulf of mexico that the US has licenses to drill in, but they do not, while other countries around the world are drilling into them. Keep the reserves in our country, and go into the Gulf Of Mexico

i have heard that we have enough oil w/ in out borders and waters to supply ourselves, but since there is huge $$ in oil and the companies have plenty of $$ they have lobbyists that pay off politicians and they are allowed to sell to whom ever they want. i have been told that since we owe china so much $$ they seel it to them to help pay off our debt. the main reason they want to tap into our reserves because if fuel prices go back up over 4.00 a gallon that will completely stall our economic rebound. why the government won't put a leash on the oil companies now is beyond me other than getting paid off by them (lobbyists), the government de-monopolized the standard oil company back in the early 1900's. i am going to take a guess they didn't have any lobbyists. now i am not an expert on this but this i believe is more or less what it boils down to. we can only wait and see.
It's all about money if our politicians aren't going to line they're pocket it will never happen....It's getting really hard to be A PROUD AMERICAN...you feel me.we have to do something to get our country back...
